Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has ousted Manchester United goalie David De Gea as Spain’s first choice goalkeeper as Spain boss Robert Moreno seems to favour Kepa over De Gea.
It has been long coming for De Gea since last season as he has made too many goalkeeping errors for both club and country which has now cost him his job.
Kepa has now started five of the last six games for Spain – with De Gea’s only start coming against Faroe Islands. Kepa Arrizabalaga again was in goal in the 1-1 draw against Norway, and Chelsea fans have now taken to social media to mock the Manchester United goalkeeper.
“Kepa numero uno,” a Chelsea fan tweeted.
One Chelsea fan said: “Kepa got DDG beat bad for that #1 spot.”
Another Blues fan posted: “Kepa starts ahead of De Gea again. He’s now the undisputed Spain’s number one goalkeeper.”
A Chelsea fan was grateful as he said: “How lucky are Chelsea fans to have Kepa as our goalkeeper? De Gea who?”
