One of the major questions posed at Chelsea boss Frank Lampard when he took over the job was whether he could handle a Chelsea team without star man Eden Hazard and also cope without any major signing due to transfer ban placed on the club.
Chelsea have coped well so far, and Frank Lampard’s side seems to be picking up good form in recent games.
Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has only just returned from injury after a six-month layoff, but the 18-year-old is proving that he can be a star for this team, not only in the future but in the present as well.
Hudson-Odoi scored twice in his first competitive start for England U21 on Tuesday night as the Young Lions beat Austria U21 5-1 and Hudson-Odoi was the star of the show as he scored two first-half goals in the 5-1 European Championship qualifying win over Austria U21.
The 18 year old made his injury comeback last month and has picked up from where he left off as if nothing happened.
He has either scored or assisted in each of his seven appearances thus far, including academy games.
After his superb performance for the England U21 team, Chelsea fans were so full of praise for Hudson-Odoi.
“Who needs Eden Hazard when we have got this kid coming through,” said a happy Chelsea fan.
One fan wrote: “He’s the future at Chelsea now.”
“Some comeback this from a serious injury. love it,” wrote another.
“Hudson-Odoi is a baller of the highest order! Serious technique!” wrote one fan.
