Chelsea made it five wins on the spin in all competitions following the 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Marcos Alonso’s 73rd minute effort proved enough to earn the win over Newcastle United.
The victory over Newcastle United also showed the Blues now have a new creator-in-chief.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is Chelsea’s new creator-in-chief with the winger creating five chances against Newcastle, more than any other player on the pitch.
One of those chances was the assist for Alonso’s goal. It was Hudson-Odoi’s third Premier League assist of the season in just his third Premier League game. He has now provided more assists in the Premier League than any other Chelsea player this season despite not starting the season and playing just three games in the league.
Former Chelsea creator-in-chief Cesc Fabregas would definitely be proud of Hudson-Odoi.
