Former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino believes Christian Pulisic will be a success at Chelsea despite his difficult start to life at Chelsea.
Cascarino also believes Frank Lampard’s decision to slowly integrate Pulisic will pay off in the long run.
Cascarino also suggested Chelsea have found our forward line for the next decade with Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham.
“Christian Pulisic has found chances to impress few and far between since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer but I believe he will be a success,” he wrote in his column in The Times.
“Some players are slow burners who need time to gradually ease their way into the team.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi dazzled during the victory over Newcastle but Pulisic was effective when he came off the bench.
“He saw opportunities, ran at defenders and his weight of pass was perfect. He looked incredibly sharp and kept causing problems.
“When you consider that Pulisic is 21, Tammy Abraham 22 and Hudson-Odoi will be 19 in November, Chelsea could conceivably have found their forward line for the next decade.
“Already, you are looking at around £200million-worth of talent.”
