Chelsea have reportedly found a replacement for 31 year old Brazilian winger Willian, according to reports in Italy.
With Pedro and Willian’s contracts on course to expire at the end of the campaign, the Blues have reportedly prioritised the acquisition of a winger in the winter window if the transfer ban is lifted.
According to La Gazzette dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, the Blues have identified Chievo Verona’s Emanuel Vignato as a replacement for Willian and have sent scouts to watch the 19 year old winger.
The Blues are currently banned from signing any new players until the summer of 2020 after breaking FIFA regulations on the signing of minors from abroad but there may be a chance that the ban is lifted in January.
Vignato’s impressive displays for Chievo has reportedly sparked a four-way transfer tussle for his signature with Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Inter Milan also interested.
Vignato has been capped at U20 level for Italy, and is primarily fielded on the right flank but the 19 year old can also be used in a central role.
