Chelsea signed a five-year shirt sponsorship deal worth £200million in 2015, then the second-biggest in the Premier League and the deal has now entered its final year.
According to reports, the Blues are in talks with the Japanese giants about extending the sponsorship deal beyond 2020.
Daily Mail also claim Chelsea have the option of letting the deal run down and testing the market elsewhere, having seen Manchester United and Manchester City sign bumper deals worth a reported £64m and £45m a year respectively.
It is believed Chelsea might not get as much as what Manchester United gets from its sponsorship deal but the Blues expect to secure a rise on our current £40m-a-year deal.
