Conor Gallagher has been rewarded for his excellent start to the season with a call-up to the England U21 squad.
Gallagher, currently on loan at Charlton, have four goals in 11 Championship appearances so far this season.
The loan is his first experience of senior football following his award as our Academy Player of the Year last term.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James were also called up to the U21 squad following their comebacks from injury.
Hudson-Odoi is yet to play for the U21s. He was originally called up for Boothroyd’s squad in March but injuries in the senior squad saw him promoted to join Gareth Southgate’s men and he made his bow against Czech Republic at Wembley.
This is also a maiden U21 call-up for James.
