Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi only recently returned from a long-term injury, and the youngster has impressed immediately upon his return.
The 18-year-old didn’t finish the past season with Chelsea as he suffered an Achilles tendon injury that kept him out since April.
Hudson-Odoi has been one of Chelsea’s best players since his return from injury, but former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has advised Lampard to take it easy on the young player and try to rest him as much as possible so he won’t be prone to yet another injury.
“I think you’ve got to be careful as well with a young player that’s had such a bad injury, you don’t want to give him too much football too early,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
“But what he also is is a great asset to come off the bench with 20-25 minutes to go.
“You can see with Pulisic he’s done bits and pieces to show you enough that he’s going to be a really good player but it takes time to adjust to the Premier League, the pace of the game is so much quicker but he’s done some really nice things in the games he has played.”
