Olivier Giroud has proven to be a very important signing for Chelsea since the club in January 2018 for just £18m.
Giroud moved to Stamford Bridge from Arsenal and the France International has won the FA Cup and the Europa League since making the switch.
Giroud has now admitted that although he loved the Gunners, leaving for Chelsea was a good decision, insisting that the Blues have been the more successful side in the Premier League alongside Manchester City.
Giroud said: “It was not easy to leave Arsenal for Chelsea two years ago. I loved Arsenal.
“But it was a progression because Chelsea is the English club that has won the most titles, with Manchester City, in ten years.”
Giroud also revealed that he’s a fighter and looks back at the strikers he has battled and won during his time at Chelsea.
“I had competitors in attack – Morata, Higuain, who ended up leaving. I won at the end: I played the final of the FA Cup in 2018 and the European Cup final in 2019.
“Once again, I’m starting the year in difficulty, but as my brother said, I have always built myself in the face of adversity. Although I would like there to be less!”
