A number of Chelsea players were on song for their national teams in the ongoing international games.

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley was one of the stars of the Chelsea players on international duty as he scored a brace and assisted England’s opener in the Three Lions 6-0 win against Bulgaria. Mason Mount came on for Barkley on the 72nd minute.

The win leaves Southgate’s side top of Group A in the knowledge that a win over Montenegro next month at Wembley will secure their qualification to next summer’s finals.

For France, Olivier Giroud was on the bench alongside Kurt Zouma and N’Golo Kante who suffered an injury in the warm-up in Iceland on Friday night. Giroud was introduced with 72 minutes gone and his impact was swift as he headed in a corner to make it 1-0. But Turkey equalised five minutes later through Kaan Ayhan.

On Sunday, Michy Batshuayi scored Belgium’s opener as the Belgians defeated Kazakhstan 2-0.

Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour featured for Scotland’s U21s goalless draw away in Czech Republic. The Scots are unbeaten in European Championship qualification and currently sit top of a group also containing Greece, Croatia and Lithuania.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
