Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed he has selection problems ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League game against Ajax on Wednesday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic are both pushing to be involved from the start after both players impressed against Newcastle.

Hudson-Odoi is yet to start a Champions League game while Pulisic hasn’t started a game for Chelsea since the 7-1 Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby.

Asked if Pulisic gave him food for thought with his performance on Saturday, Lampard said: “Yeah, good. As I want, from all the players.

“Callum gave me that with his display from the start, Christian gave me it with his display coming on. Willian gave me that, Pedro gives me that. I have selection problems and they’re good ones when people come on and make a difference.

“That’s what we have to be about if we want to be a team that is competing at the top end.”

“I was really pleased for Christian to come on and make an impact.”
