Chelsea are currently in all competitions, and the Blues will be looking to move to the next round of the Carabao Cup when Manchester United come visiting Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Chelsea’s current winning run started with a 7-1 thrashing of Grimsby Town in the last round of the Carabao Cup, and Blues boss Frank Lampard is aiming to win this competition which he also won as a player.
“We’ll target all the trophies,” he said. “We want to win every game but we’re up against a top opponent tomorrow. Every game you have to give everything to try and win.
“A day at Wembley should never be taken likely. But not just for the young boys. We’ll give it our all.”
Despite taking the competition serious, Lampard revealed that he’d rotate his players for this game.
He said ahead of the game: “I have to be aware of the fact that we haven’t changed the team very much.
“That’s my prerogative when I think the team is playing pretty well but this game may be an opportunity for other players who are not playing.
“It’s not necessarily to do with age, more to do with minutes in games and that might mean some of the more experienced players who haven’t played as much will have an opportunity.”
