Chelsea will be aiming for a fifth successive win in all competitions for the first time since November 2018.
The Blues welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge and both sides are at different ends of the table. While Chelsea are fifth in the league, Newcastle are 16th in the table.
Chelsea have one of the best attacks in the league and have scored the third most goals, while Newcastle have struggled to score goals this season, netting only five so far.
Chelsea defeated Newcastle 2-1 both home and away last season.
Chelsea have also struggled to keep clean sheets and Frank Lampard’s side has conceded a whopping 14 goals this season, and the Blues were unable to keep a clean sheet in our last six games with the Magpies.
Chelsea have won our past seven matches at Stamford Bridge against Newcastle in all competitions, scoring 20 while conceding just three goals.
Newcastle have struggled at Stamford Bridge and have only won one of their last 25 away league games against Chelsea (seven draws, 17 defeats), winning 2-0 under Alan Pardew in May 2012.
Chelsea have won more Premier League matches at home against Newcastle (17 – as many as against Tottenham) than any other side.
Prediction: Newcastle will come with a game plan to frustrate Chelsea, but Lampard’s side should win this game no matter what.
