Ajax welcome Chelsea to the Johan Cruyff Arena, and the Blues will have to face a very young but in-form Dutch team.
The Dutch giants almost made their way to the Champions League final last season but were stopped by a late Lucas Moura goal that saw Tottenham win the semi-final battle.
The Blues are in good form having won their last five games in a row and would need to get a positive result away against Ajax.
Former Premier League star Michael Owen is backing Chelsea to get a draw away in the Netherlands and believes that the game will end 1-1.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Ajax are unbeaten in all competitions so far this season (W13 D4) and their last defeat came on that famous night back in May when Spurs made a dramatic late comeback in the semi-final second leg to qualify for the final in Madrid.
“The hosts have won both group games 3-0 so far this season but I feel Frank Lampard’s exciting and improving side can get a hard-earned point in the Johan Cruyff Arena.
“The Blues have not lost in their last nine away games in European competition and I expect them to pick up a valuable point in midweek.”
