Striker Michy Batshuayi has made six appearances for Chelsea this season but only once has he been named in the starting XI – the 7-1 Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby.
Despite failing to start a Premier League game for Chelsea this season, The Athletic claim Batshuayi won’t push for a transfer.
He is behind Tammy Abraham in the pecking order but is ahead of Olivier Giroud.
The report claims Batshuayi is happy with his life in London and wants to be a success at Chelsea.
The Belgian strike reportedly enjoys a better connection with Frank Lampard than with the previous Chelsea managers, Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri.
Belgium head coach Robert Martinez is unhappy with Batshuayi’s lack of game time at Chelsea.
“He doesn’t play enough at Chelsea,” Martinez told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
“I think that’s a shame, even though he scores a lot with the national team.
“I hope he will play more, because we really need him… But then he has to play. Otherwise a solution must be found.”
