Christian Pulisic is ready to consider his Chelsea future in January if he continues to be left out of the side by Frank Lampard, according to Daily Mail.
The 21 year old American has played just once in Chelsea’s last five games, the 7-1 thrashing of Grimsby in the Carabao Cup, and he recently revealed he was frustrated over his lack of game time.
Pulisic has been an unused substitute for the last three Premier League games before being omitted from the squad entirely for the Champions League win at Lille.
Pulisic started three of Chelsea’s four Premier League games and also started the Super Cup loss to Liverpool but has made just one appearance.
He impressed in the Super Cup game against Liverpool but haven’t really impressed in the Premier League.
The 21 year old is reportedly ready to fight for his place under Lampard but will consider his options if he feels he is not being given a fair chance to prove himself.
Lampard has suggested that Pulisic needs to work harder in training.
“I spoke to him two days before the Grimsby game and was very clear about the standards and we have to give him the fact that he’s moved country and moved leagues,” said Lampard.
“He’s as young as all the young players we keep talking about. He’s just turned 21. So I think everyone, if anyone is getting too excited about this they should calm down because he’s started five games for us.
“What he needs to do is work, work daily, work to show within the group that he deserves to play. As they all do, as all the players do. That’s what the focus on everyone is.”
