For a new player, one of the challenges always represent trying to fit into the new team and blending with your new teammates. And of course, there’s usually the challenge of language as well.
Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic who only joined the Blues during the summer from German side Borussia Dortmund has admitted that the team spirit in the Chelsea dressing room is high and that it could be the reason for the team’s recent success.
Pulisic also revealed that he has become friends with the Brazilian and French players in the team, admitting that it’s a good mix between the young and experienced players.
He said: “The whole team has come together. We have a great mix of youth and experienced players. The team spirit definitely doesn’t need to be questioned. It’s there.
“Me being the only American I can go with some of the French guys, some of the Brazilians. It’s nice, it’s a good mix. It’s been great getting to know all the guys. I am really happy with how it’s going.”
Pulisic was a second-half substitute against Ajax, and the American international showed his increasing confidence as he turned the game around for the Blues and assisted Michy Batshuayi to score the winning goal late in the game.
