Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has a good but still difficult decision to make ahead of each game due to the form of the Chelsea players at the moment.
Lampard has recently admitted that he’s been finding it difficult to select his team for each game as the Chelsea players just keep impressing week in week out.
The Blues have been on an impressive run with seven straight wins in all competitions and one area where Chelsea have witnessed competition the most is on the flanks, with Lampard having to choose between Willian, Pedro, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic who are all fighting for the same position.
Hudson-Odoi and Willian have been the two starters for recent games, but Lampard decided to rest Hudson-Odoi for Pulisic who has had two impressive performances as a sub and he bagged a hat-trick.
Former Blues defender Frank Sinclair has told Lampard to rotate the players especially Hudson-Odoi considering the fact that the 18-year-old only returned from a long-term injury.
“No it’s understandable,” Sinclair said on Sky Sports.
“I think Hudson-Odoi’s played a lot of football recently after coming back from a long-term injury, so they’re going to take care of him.
“He’s going to be dipped in and out of the team because he’s still a young lad as well but great promise that he’s got.
“Obviously Pulisic comes on during the week and really affects the game, so I think that would have convinced Frank that it’s possible to start him today and give Callum a well-earned rest.”
