Lille striker Loic Remy is set to face Chelsea in the Champions League later today.

Remy used to be a Chelsea striker and arrived at Stamford Bridge at the end of the summer window of 2014.

Remy has opened up on his time under Jose Mourinho and believes the former Chelsea boss is good tactically.

“He trusted me,” Remy said in an interview with The Independent.

“I remember one time before a big match, it was Manchester City at home, and Diego Costa was injured and he grabbed me and said ‘I know your quality. I know you can play these type of games, so just go and don’t think too much’.

“For me, honestly, I always remember when I was there, tactically he was very good. He knows football.

“People know Mourinho is a good manager, even if he had trouble in some clubs.”

Remy managed 12 goals in 43 appearance for the Blues before being released in 2017.
