Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has hailed Christian Pulisic as the player that made the difference for Chelsea against Ajax.

Pulisic provided the assist for Michy Batshuayi’s late winner against Ajax.

Souness also revealed Willian had a quiet game against Ajax.

“They had to weather a few storms but they got there in the end,” Souness said.

“The longer the game went on they became more threatening. Pulisic comes on and he was the difference. Willian had a quiet night.

“I think they just about deserved their win. They’re no mugs they were playing. Ajax at home are a strong team.”
