Three Newcastle United players will miss the trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to face Chelsea.

According to Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce, Florian Lejeune and Matt Ritchie are unavailable for selection for the game against Chelsea.

“At the minute we only have Matt Ritchie and big Flo (Lejeune) injured,” Bruce told the media.

“We’re nearing towards a full squad. (Those two) are there or thereabouts.”

Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden is suspended for the game against Chelsea after picking a red card at Leicester.

Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll could start against Chelsea on Saturday.

Bruce added: “Andy’s doing great, touch wood. He came on at Leicester and played another half an hour against Man United and there’s been no reaction to that.

“He’s trained all week again. So with Andy, it’s a case of so far, so good.”
