Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori are both experiencing extraordinary seasons as the duo have become a key part of Frank Lampard’s side, despite spending last season in the Championship.
While Abraham has scored 8 goals in 10 appearances this season, Tomori has cemented his place in the Chelsea defence and has impressed in all the games he has played.
Reports now claim that Chelsea are keen to tie down the duo and they are close to signing five-year deals to tie their future at Stamford Bridge.
According to Sky Sports, a long-term contract is on the offing for Abraham and Tomori.
Blues boss Frank Lampard was pleased with what he saw from the duo in the Champions League game against Lille on Wednesday night.
On Abraham, Lampard said: “Tammy’s performance was more of the same of what we have been seeing.
“He’s hungry for goals, he’s physical, he gives everything for the team, he has quality with ball at his feet.
“It’s his first Champions League goal and we’ll see many more, I hope, and many more performances like tonight.”
On Tomori, Lampard added: “Fikayo was outstanding again. He has to keep on with that.”
