Ajax fans have been banned from the Champions League game at Stamford Bridge coming up on November 5.

Ajax suffer this ban after some crowd trouble in their Champions League game against Valencia.

The Dutch side have been punished by UEFA for repeated incidents involving their supporters and a suspended sentence was given to Ajax after fan trouble during their game at Benfica last season.

The Dutch club had been warned and were also handed a fine of €50,000 (£43,200) for the disturbances, and warned a further one-match ban could be imposed on selling tickets to their away supporters if they offend during a probationary period of one year. And after their trouble against Valencia, UEFA has now placed a ban on their fans for the game against Chelsea.

A statement on the club’s website, saId: “UEFA has ruled on the events with Ajax supporters at Valencia-Ajax and the suspended sentence imposed after Benfica-Ajax last season.

“The biggest sanction is that Chelsea vs Ajax will be played on November 5 without (away) fans.”

So, Chelsea will play this game without away fans. It will indeed be a home game for the Blues.
