Christian Pulisic scored his first career hat-trick to help the Blues beat Burnley 4-2 at Turf Moor on Saturday.
After being outside of the first team since the end of August where Pulisic hasn’t been on the starting lineup, Pulisic eventually got his chance to start in the game against Burnley. However, this came after he impressed from the bench in the games against Newcastle and Ajax.
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, who’s also having an explosive season has revealed that he isn’t surprised with what Pulisic can do.
He said: “We know what Christian can do and he has had to bide his time and when he has come on in recent games he has done really well, and the manager rewarded him with a start on Saturday and to score a hat-trick, there is nothing better.
“I am really happy for him that he has managed to open his account and got a hat-trick as well.”
Speaking after his brilliant performance against Burnley, Pulisic said: “I just want to be on the field, help the team and make an impact.
“I didn’t think it would be super easy. But I have come on a few times the past few weeks and was happy to start today, it was a special day.
“There are young guys in the team but we forget about that when we go out there. It’s a fun team to play with now and we just want to keep this run going.”
