Many fans aren’t happy Christian Pulisic isn’t getting game time at Chelsea but being a star player for the United States doesn’t guarantee him game time at Chelsea.

Pulisic impressed during pre-season especially against RB Salzburg and was also impressive against Liverpool in the Super Cup but he has failed to impress in any of his Premier League appearances.

Pulisic came off the bench against Manchester United and started the next three Premier League games but the American was ineffective in any of those games. Pulisic also got his chance in the Carabao Cup game against Grimsby and also failed to impress. He really can’t blame anyone but himself for his lack of game time.

We also shouldn’t forget Pulisic hasn’t played much football in the last 12 months. He wasn’t a regular at Borussia Dortmund before Chelsea signed him. A certain Jadon Sancho took his place in the Dortmund team.

Pulisic only started 9 league games for Dortmund last season due to the emergence of 19 year old Sancho. If Pulisic couldn’t get game time at Dortmund, why should he be guaranteed game time at Chelsea?

Pulisic hasn’t shown he deserves to be a regular starter for Chelsea. Just because you were signed for big money doesn’t guarantee you a place in the starting XI.

Pulisic needs to work harder in training and impress when he gets a chance.

No player is a guaranteed starter at Chelsea, they have all worked hard to earn their place. Pulisic must do same too.
