Chelsea attacking midfielder Mason Mount was booed by a portion of the home fans as he celebrated his goal against Southampton on Sunday at St Mary’s.
The Blues beat Southampton 4-1 with Mount scoring Chelsea’s second goal. It was a fine finish from Mount after being played through by Willian.
Mount was booed by the Southampton fans because of his Portsmouth connections.
Mount grew up as a Portsmouth fan and used to be a season ticket holder at Portsmouth. He previously revealed he turned down joining Southampton academy because he did not feel comfortable wearing their kit due to his Portsmouth connection.
