The Blues beat Southampton 4-1 at St Mary’s on Sunday to climb up to fifth on the Premier League table.

Tammy Abraham opened the scoring for the Blues before Mason Mount made it 2-0 for the Blues. Danny Ings scored to make it 2-1 before N’Golo Kante scored from 20 yards to make it 3-1.

Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to score Chelsea’s fourth.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl won’t be happy with the margin of Chelsea’s victory because it is Southampton’s heaviest defeat in a home Premier League game under his management.

The last time Southampton lost by three or more goals in a home game in the competition was also against Chelsea (0-3 in October 2018).
