Chelsea star Willian has revealed that he’s enjoying himself at Chelsea and isn’t ready for a return to Brazil just yet.
Willian is having a great time for Chelsea at the moment and has been one of Frank Lampard’s key men in recent games. His contract is set to run out at the end of the season, and Blues boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he’d like the Brazilian to remain at Stamford Bridge.
After the Champions League clash against Ajax, Willian told Esporte Interativo via Sport Witness that he isn’t ready for a return to his homeland just yet.
Willian said: “Of course when you talk about Corinthians, the club that launched me, I have a great affection. But honestly, I don’t think about returning to Brazil.
“I think I have a lot of wood to burn here in Europe. I have a market. I’m very happy here at Chelsea. Of course my contract is ending now, at the end of the season it’s over. But I’m happy at Chelsea and I plan to stay out here.”
Willian has often reiterated that he’d like to remain at Chelsea, despite transfer rumours linking him with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
He told the Evening Standard earlier this year: “I have one year left, but of course I want to play for this club.
“I don’t know if they want me, but of course I want to continue here.”
