Valencia vs Chelsea is a huge tie in the Champions League group H, and Frank Lampard must be targeting a good result having lost to the Spanish side in our first group game.
Valencia have injury problems of their own heading to this game, with a number of midfielders ruled out for Albert Celades’s team.
Celades will have to do without some notable absentees – especially in midfield where Francis Coquelin, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Denis Cheryshev are all ruled out. Daniel Wass, usually a wing back, is likely to start in the middle.
For Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, he’d be pleased that key defender Antonio Rudiger is close to return from injury having featured only once for Chelsea this season.
See the Chelsea squad that travelled to Valencia: Kepa, Andreas Christensen, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham, Willian, Pedro, Willy Caballero, Kurt Zouma, Mateo Kovacic, Olivier Giroud, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Michy Batshuayi, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Fikayo Tomori, Jamie Cumming, Emerson.
Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso failed to make the squad and also missed the travelling party for the game against Manchester City.
