The game against Valencia later today is a game Chelsea must not lose if we want to progress to the next round of the Champions League.

Chelsea have been brilliant this season under Frank Lampard and we must admit the Blues are exceeding expectations this season.

Chelsea’s season will become even better if Chelsea boss Frank Lampard makes a little adjustment to the way Chelsea play by urging his players to cross the ball more.

Putting more crosses in the box will also see the Blues take advantage of Tammy Abraham’s height and also the number of Chelsea players that make runs into the box.

Chelsea are ranked 14th in the Premier League for crosses delivered into the box. Defending Champions Manchester City are ranked first for crosses delivered into the box while league leaders Liverpool are ranked second for crosses delivered into the box.

Delivering more crosses into the box is a tactical change that will definitely help Chelsea and that means Reece James must start for the Blues against Valencia.

James is a good crosser of the ball and his deliveries will be important against Valencia today.

  1. Actually, the defense should not be keeping the ball in dominance. They should change by the ball go upfront to the attackers for finishing purposes. Urge Zouma, Tamorie & App to not keep the ball.
