Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley pulled out of England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo due to injury.

Barkley has missed the Blues’ last six games, having been out of action since picking up an ankle injury against Newcastle on October 19.

Another Chelsea star has now joined Barkley in pulling out of international duty due to injury.

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has pulled out of the USA’s upcoming Nations League clashes with Canada and Cuba due to injury.

Pulisic pulled out of the squad after suffering a hip injury in Chelsea’s win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

USA head coach Gregg Berhalter confirmed Pulisic’s withdrawal.

“Christian is officially at this stage ruled out. We just got that information. This was a collaborative decision with the club, looking after the best interest of the player,” Berhalter said.

“These decisions are always difficult because this group and the coaching staff want nothing more than to have Christian here, but it was a risk we weren’t willing to take at this time.”
