Despite Chelsea scoring first through N’Golo Kante, the Blues lost 2-1 to Manchester City on Saturday.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has analysed Chelsea’s performance against Manchester City. According to the captain, Chelsea failed to the make the right choices but believes the team will improve.
“We started very well again, in the first 25 minutes we controlled the ball and moved it from side to side and put our attacking players in good positions,” Azpilicueta said on Chelsea TV.
“We went ahead, but we were punished before half time with two goals. We pushed in the second half to come back, and we tried to get something from the game, but we weren’t able to.
“When you play games like this against quality teams, you know that small details can make the difference. The last 25 minutes we have to make the difference. Sometimes we were a little bit unlucky or we didn’t make the right choice.
“We have to get better and improve on that if we want to go further as a team, we know that. There is still improvement we can make and we have to work hard to try and get wins in these sorts of games.”
