The last time Chelsea made the trip to the Etihad Stadium, the Blues received a 6-0 bashing under former boss Maurizio Sarri last season.

Chelsea’s next game after the international break is away to Manchester City on November 23rd, and the Blues are in good form heading to this game.

Chelsea are currently the league’s most in-form team and have won their last six league matches heading to this crucial game against Manchester City.

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is confident that the Chelsea team has the quality to go to the Etihad and get a good result.

Zouma said: “It’s going to be a big game, we’re playing well and it won’t be easy against one of the best teams in the league.

“We also have the quality to go there and do something, we believe in our quality.”

Chelsea’s defence has picked up in recent games compared to the start of the season when Frank Lampard’s backline was conceding goals for fun.

Zouma has hailed the last clean sheet that was kept in the win against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Zouma said: “We’re delighted. We’re working hard every day to get wins and this was the sixth one. We were patient, we scored two goals and didn’t concede any so we’re very happy.

“As a defender I’m very happy with the clean sheet and it’s really important for us to keep clean sheets, to keep that confidence high. It’s just about communication and working hard. You have to be in the right position at the right time, talk to your team-mate next to you, and do it all together. We did it well.”
