Chelsea fans slam Southgate’s decision to choose Stones over Tomori

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold starts at right-back, while John Stones partners Harry Maguire in centre half and Ben Chiwell will feature at left-back.

Chelsea fans have questioned Gareth Southgate’s decision to play Stones ahead of the in-form Fikayo Tomori.

Stones has only made nine appearances for the reigning Premier League champions after a muscle injury forced him to miss a total of eight games and Chelsea fans believe that Tomori should have started in his place.

I don’t understand why Stones has been thrown straight back into the England team whilst Tomori has been waiting patiently for his opportunity. Stones is arguably the worse defender we have whilst Tomori has been the most inform CB in the league so far this season….
