Chelsea star Willian is in the final year of his Chelsea contract and the Brazilian is yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract.

Willian has been Chelsea’s best player so far this season and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on keeping the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.

Willian is yet to sign a new deal with the club because the board is offering the Brazilian a one year deal while Willian wants a two year contract.

Chelsea have a policy of offering players above 30 a one year deal but the Blues made an exception for David Luiz last season because of the transfer ban.

Chelsea have less than seven weeks to sort out Willian’s contract as the Brazilian will be free to speak to foreign clubs from January.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Willian and will be happy to offer Willian a contract in January.

Do we really want to lose the Brazilian as a free agent next summer?
