According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has asked Chelsea boss Frank Lampard to let him leave Chelsea in January.

The France international has grown frustrated with his lack of game time at Chelsea this season.

Giroud is currently third choice striker at Chelsea behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.

Schira tweeted: “Oliver #Giroud asked to #Chelsea to be sold in January. His favourite destination remains #Inter, that have offered to french striker a contract until 2021. Talks ongoing. #transfers #CFC.”

A potential move to Inter Milan would see Giroud reunite with Antonio Conte, who left Chelsea in the summer of 2018.
