Ahead of the January transfer window, France boss Didier Deschamps has urged Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud to leave the club.
Giroud has remained an important player for France despite only making one substitute appearance for Chelsea in the last 12 games in all competitions.
Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in Giroud and Deschamps has urged the France international to leave Chelsea in January.
Speaking about Giroud, Deschamps said: “He is useful and indispensable. He is very effective and made the decision to shoot the penalty. He allows players around him to have goal chances too.
“Which also explains why he stays with us despite his playing time at Chelsea. He suffers inevitably from this situation on a daily basis.
“If he has an opportunity to move and have more playing time, it’s good for him, he knows it.”
