Andreas Christensen hasn’t featured for Chelsea since mid October, where he picked up a groin problem while on international duty with Denmark.
Upon his return from injury, Kurt Zouma has formed a strong partnership with Chelsea youngster Fikayo Tomori in the heart of the Chelsea defence, and this could pose problem for the returning Dane who will now have to fight for a spot back in the team.
With the international break on, Christensen has revealed that he’s keen on getting over his injury and finding a way back into the Chelsea squad.
Lampard has recently revealed that he was pleased with what he has seen in the partnership between Zouma and Tomori.
Lampard said after the win against Watford: “I’m very pleased with how they’re both playing, I think they looked very composed against Watford and didn’t look bothered at all throughout the whole game.
“It’s nice they’ve been able to form a little bit of a partnership, but we need all four so when the others come back it’ll be even better for the competition.”
