In the female football world, Chelsea women’s team have been the most talked about of late due to the recent acquisition of Sam Kerr.
The 26-year-old Australian is a goal machine and Ballon d’Or nominee and former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be a huge fan of the new Chelsea signing.
Ronaldo took to his Instagram story to hail Kerr for sealing a move to Chelsea.
“Yesss [Sam Kerr]!” the caption reads. “Another dream in the making.”
So far, Chelsea Women are in the lead in the WSL, topping the table with 13 points after 5 games. They will hope to reclaim the title they won for the last time in 2017/18, and Kerr has revealed that her aim is to win the league and Champions League with Chelsea.
She said: “The WSL is the best league in Europe. I want team success and I don’t want it to come easy. I feel Chelsea have been building something special over the years and I want to be a part of that – I want to lift some trophies.”
