Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has admitted his star player Wilfried Zaha wasn’t at his best against Chelsea.

Chelsea youngster Reece James, making his first Premier League start, had a good game against Zaha.

Speaking about Zaha’s performance against Chelsea, Hodgson said: “Wilf is doing what he needs for the team, he is working hard for the team.

“Against Arsenal he had an incredible game, and against Leicester, perhaps today (against Chelsea) he wasn’t at his very best but that is what football is, unfortunately.

“They are human beings.”
