Manchester City suffered a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, a loss that has increased the gap at the top of the table.

Pep Guardiola’s men are now fourth in the table and nine points behind Liverpool after 12 games, and a Man City fan has insisted that he’d rather have former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho take over from Guardiola.

Calling in to talkSPORT after the Anfield clash, a City fan named Robert said: “I’m done with Pep now. I’m just fed up of this nonsense. He always complains to the referee after the game. I don’t know what he is doing.

“He has had the glory days and I am fed up of him. When he is interviewing now I am so fed up. I’d let [Mikel] Arteta take the job, or bring Mourinho for it. I’d pay for Mourinho as the manager. We need a manager to come in and sort this lot out.”

Meanwhile Chelsea’s next game is against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium just after the international break.
