Chelsea are third in the Premier League and level on points with second-placed Leicester City, as the Blues have been playing swashbuckling football under Frank Lampard this season.
Former Arsenal star Lee Dixon has admitted that he enjoys watching Chelsea play and lists three teams that fascinated him in the Premier League – Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, leaving no place for his beloved Arsenal who are yet to find their bearing this season.
He told The Season So Far: “They’ve not been the best side to watch over the years when you see the other teams playing, City and Liverpool, but now if there’s a Chelsea game on I’m like: ‘Well let’s tune in,’ because I’m watching something I really enjoy now.
“There’s a style to it, there’s a grace to their play, there’s a bit of steeliness as well.
“So I’m fascinated by the Frank Lampard project, I really am.”
Chelsea are enjoying a good run of form having won their last six league matches and are currently ahead of last season’s champions Manchester City.
The Blues will return from the international break with a trip to the Etihad Stadium, and Frank Lampard will be expecting yet another good Chelsea performance from his young team.
