Jody Morris and Frank Lampard were teammates at Chelsea, and the duo formed a good relationship that has blossomed even after their playing career.
Upon given the Derby County job, Lampard chose Morris to be his assistant, and now he’s also serving as assistant manager at Chelsea.
Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair played with Morris for two years and has opened up on his experience working and playing together with Jody Morris.
“I think he is a very positive coach that wants players to express themselves,” said Sinclair about Morris.
“If you look at Jody as a player he was a very technically gifted midfielder and I would expect that with the players he is working with at Chelsea, he will be encouraging the players to express themselves and play high-tempo football.”
Sinclair has now revealed that Morris was a gifted midfielder with a lot of game knowledge but could be harsh when necessary.
The former Chelsea defender said: “As a person, he can be hard when he needs to be and tell people what they are doing right and what they’re not, he will be dead honest on that front.
“Even though he and Frank are young coaches in terms of experience, they will be firm when they need to be firm and when you’re working with top internationals is something you need.”
