Chelsea travel to the city of Manchester to face Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, and the game is the match of the weekend.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given updates on the injured players as he has revealed that goalkeeper Ederson is back.
Ederson missed the game against Liverpool last week with Claudio Bravio keeping in his stead, and the second choice goalkeeper was blamed for one of Liverpool’s goals as Liverpool defeated City 3-1 at Anfield.
Guardiola has now revealed that his first choice goalkeeper is back and fit to face Chelsea.
“Ederson is back,” said Guardiola.
“He trained in the last few days without pain.”
However, Guardiola revealed that Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane are still out injured.
“Laporte and Sane are still injured for two or three months.”
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has confirmed that Christian Pulisic has recovered from the hip injury that made him miss the international duty with the United States and will feature against Manchester City.
Asked about the latest on Pulisic’s injury, Lampard told reporters: “He didn’t go (for international duty) and we had full-on communication with the States and the manager and medical team.
“I like to be really open and transparent with that because I respect that they want their top players, as he is.
“He had a problem going into the last game against Palace, hence why he came off after his goal. He missed the two games, has started to train again this week so he’s in contention to play.”
