Chelsea had a hand in Manchester City’s failure to beat Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Raheem Sterling gave Manchester City an early lead before Chelsea loanee Mario Palasic scored the equaliser for Atalanta to at least delay Man City’s progression to the knockout stage.

Pasalic is yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea since joining the club as a teenager in 2014. He has had five different loan spells since joining from Hajduk Split.

The 24 year old midfielder has spent time on loan at Elche, Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow.

Pasalic has scored two goals and provided two assists in 14 appearances for Atalanta this season.
