According to Tuttosport via The Sun, Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio was in London this week working on a deal to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Inter Milan are also interested in Tottenham pair Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen but it is believed Inter’s main focus is on signing Giroud.
Giroud’s Chelsea contract expires next summer but Inter Milan are reportedly keen on signing him in January.
Inter are said to be willing to offer Giroud an 18-month contract but want him to drop his £6.8m-a-year salary demands.
Giroud has struggled for game time under Frank Lampard at Chelsea this season and he is keen on leaving Stamford Bridge in January.
