Chelsea players will be returning from the international break in high spirit as the Blues players in Europe have all sealed qualification for next summer’s Euro 2020.

Jorginho, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Andreas Christensen, Olivier Giroud and our fellow French boys Kurt Zouma and N’Golo Kante, Michy Batshuayi and the English lads have all sealed qualification with their respective countries for Euro 2020.

For Wales who have Chelsea player Ethan Ampadu in their team, qualification wasn’t certain until last night.

Ethan Ampadu came off the bench to help Wales see out a crucial final-day victory and book their place at next summer’s Euro 2020 finals as they defeated Hungary 2-0.

Ampadu came on shortly after the restart to help shore Wales midfield, and the youngster did a good job keeping it simple in the middle of the park.

Croatia who had already completed Euro 2020 qualification, sealed their position on top of the group with Mateo Kovacic and Mario Pasalic on loan to Atalanta, helping them to a table-topping performance in their group.

They hosted Georgia in a friendly in Pula, with Kovacic playing just over an hour in a 2-1 victory. He left the field with the comeback completed after the visitors took an early lead, with Inter forward Ivan Perisic netting the winner. Mario Pasalic started alongside Kovacic in midfield and was withdrawn after 75 minutes.

Willian was an unused substitute as Brazil recorded a 3-0 win against South Korea in a friendly game in Abu Dhabi.
