Chelsea recorded an incredible comeback at Stamford Bridge to Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Tammy Abraham scored an own goal inside two minutes to give Ajax an early lead before Chelsea equalised from the spot through Jorginho.

Quincy Promes soon put Ajax ahead before the Dutch champions increased their lead when Hakim Ziyech’s free kick went in via Kepa Arrizabalaga’s face.

Donny van de Beek made it 4-1 early in the second half before Cesar Azpilicueta scored Chelsea’s second of the night.

Daley Blind and Joel Veltman were both given second yellow cards, as Joriginho scored again from the spot to make it 4-3.

Reece James completed the comeback when he fired home to make it 4-4 and the Blues scored a fifth through Azpilicueta but the goal was ruled off for handball.

Michy Batshauyi twice went close in the breathless closing stages and was denied by a fabulous save by Andre Onana

James goal against Ajax means the teenager is now Chelsea’s youngest ever Champions League goalscorer.
