Italy were in killer mode as they thumped Armenia 9-1 in their Euro 2020 qualifying game despite having qualified for the tournament as group leaders.
Jorginho played the full game and scored the seventh goal from the penalty spot having provided an assist for the fifth, netted by Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo who scored twice.
Also on Monday night, Andreas Christensen’s Denmark sealed their qualification to Euro 2020 as the second placed team in Group D after getting a massive 1-1 draw away from home against the Republic of Ireland.
Denmark needed a draw to qualify for next summer’s tournament and were leading the game 1-0 before an 85th minute goal from the hosts drew the game level. Christensen was brought on from the bench to seal the defence for the Danes and made a block in the final seconds as Ireland pushed hard for a winner. Denmark finish second in their group behind Switzerland.
Meanwhile, on Sunday night, Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori made his Three Lions debut as England defeated Kosovo 4-0, while Mason Mount scored the fourth goal and his first ever goal for the England senior team.
