Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has the title of being the nicest man in football, but the ever gentle Kante has now admitted that he could also get angry at times.

He told L’Equipe (h/t Get French Football News): “I can, like everyone, get annoyed, accept or not accept certain things. I try to live life in the best way possible. Before I became a professional, I had a life like a quasi-majority of people. I loved football and footballers like a fan. Today, although people view me as a star, I know what it is like to be on the other side.

“And to make people happy, that’s always good. I have always wanted to take pleasure in my life in football. Even if it is also a job, it is the thing that I do that I feel most comfortable doing. Putting myself out there in the media or the public, I can do it at certain points. But I don’t like to do it too often.”

Kante has established himself as one of the world’s best midfielders after winning Premier League titles with both the Foxes and Chelsea—who he joined in 2016—and he also played a key role in France’s 2018 FIFA World Cup win.

Kante last year signed a five-year deal to remain at the club until 2023, and despite links with Real Madrid, he has recently admitted that he’d like to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Kante revealed Chelsea have helped him a lot and he hopes to be able to win more titles at Stamford Bridge.

“Of course (I could finish my career at Chelsea), today I am with Chelsea until 2023,” Kante told French outlet Telefoot.

“So, in my head, I hope to continue to have great seasons with Chelsea until 2023.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
